Bitmap Distribution Agreement
Join the Bitmap Distribution Program
Welcome to Bitmap Distribution! This registration path is designed to provide a streamlined, transparent, and affordable route for new game developers from anywhere in the world to bring their games to Bitmap.
The details below outline the steps required to become part of the Bitmap Distribution Developer Program to distribute your games and VR experiences through Bitmap. For frequently asked questions about this process and specific details on Bitmap releases, please refer to the Publisher Dashboard .
Process Guide
Preparing to distribute your game through Bitmap involves several steps. Here is a general overview:
- Bitmap Developer: Your distribution account must be a Bitmap Developer account. You can apply for this on the Bitmap ID account edit page.
- Publisher Dashboard: You can now begin building your store page, uploading builds, and configuring features. Bitmap's tools and features are well-documented, so please check the Bitmap Distribution documentation.
- Reviewing Process: Before your store page or game build goes live, Bitmap will run the game and review the store page to ensure it is configured correctly and contains no harmful elements. This process takes approximately 1 to 5 days, and the review results will be sent to your Bitmap ID email address.
Additional Waiting Periods Before Your First Title Release:
- A 14-day waiting period when you can release your game.
- You’ll need to prepare your store page and put up a publicly-visible ‘coming soon’ page for at least two weeks. This will help you start building your audience of interested customers that can wishlist your game or participate in discussions. This also gives you the opportunity to practice how you talk about your product so that you can have the best presentation when you hit the ‘release’ button.
